This is the first step to learning permaculture. In the “old way” of gathering wild plants some were cultivated to some extent even though they weren’t domesticated until a later period. We cut the competition away from favored plants, burned out the undergrowth, pruned trees and vines to make fruits larger and easier to harvest. This was the beginning of permaculture, working with the natural environment. We are now getting anxious for spring to begin our projects. #permaculture #organicgardens #sustainability #wildernesswellness
